- 2nd International Meeting, Don Carlos/Don Carlo, in collaboration with the city of Verona e l’Ente lirico Arena di Verona, on occasion of the Verona performances of Verdi’s Don Carlo at the Arena and of Schuiller’s Don Carlos at the Teatro Romano. Ricordi & Co. publishers of Milan, the University of Chicago Press, the American Institute for Verdi Studies of New York, and the Vienna Staatsoper. - “Ernani” ieri e oggi, international conference in collaboration with Teatro Comunale and the city of Modena as part of the European Music Year and in occasion of the first performance from the critical edition of Ernani at the Teatro Comunale. Modena, Teatro San Carlo, 9-10 December 1984;
- Messa per Rossini, international conference in collaboration with the International Bachakademie, in occasion of the world premiere of the work at the Stuttgart Liederhalle and the Italian premiere at the Parma cathedral. Stuttgart, 9-11 September 1988 ;

- Verdi 2001 international conference organized by the National Committee for the Verdi Centenary celebrations, in collaboration with the Istituto nazionale di studi verdiani, the American Institute of Verdi Studies, the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with the Banca Monte of Parma.
